Introduction
The Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Employability and Workplace Skills is a practical and career-oriented qualification designed to equip learners with the essential skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic workplace. This program focuses on developing core competencies such as communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and personal effectiveness—skills that are highly valued across all industries. Ideal for school leavers, career changers, or those re-entering the job market, the diploma provides a solid foundation for professional development, further study, or immediate employment.
Upon graduation, learners will earn:

Program Structure
Mandatory Modules
1. Career Planning and Development (R/618/6107): 10 UK Credits/ 5 ECTS Credits
- Equip learners with skills to make informed career decisions and plan career pathways.
- Develop competencies to access job opportunities and create application documentation.
2. Managing Own Performance (Y/618/6108): 10 UK Credits/ 5 ECTS Credits
- Build skills to self-manage performance, negotiate effectively, and enhance communication.
- Understand teamwork dynamics and the importance of diverse skills in achieving goals.
3. Personal and Professional Development (D/618/6109): 10 UK Credits/ 5 ECTS Credits
- Emphasize the importance of continuous personal and professional growth.
- Explore resources and strategies for monitoring and improving development activities.
4. Employment Skills (R/618/6110): 10 UK Credits/ 5 ECTS Credits
- Develop personal skills for workplace success, including leadership and communication.
- Learn effective customer service, mentoring, and teamwork strategies.
5. Working in a Business Environment (Y/618/6111): 10 UK Credits/ 5 ECTS Credits
- Understand organisational structures and how business functions interconnect.
- Gain insights into financial and project management within a business context.
6. Managing Resources (D/618/6112): 10 UK Credits/ 5 ECTS Credits
- Learn resource management techniques and the role of technology in business.
- Understand organisational values, diversity, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Assignments
- Complete 6 written assignments (2,000–3,000 words each) based on the module titles.

Professional Certification
During the completion of learning modules, UKeU automated online learning system allows students to take competency assessments to obtain an e-Professional Certificate, which is integrated into the system as an optional feature. Students can request a hard copy if needed. The Professional Certificate provides a detailed record of the competencies the student has achieved.

Entry Requirements
Admission Requirements for Level 3 Foundation Program:
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- Education: Completion of full secondary education is required.
- English Language Proficiency:
- Applicants must demonstrate English language skills equivalent to:
- IELTS: Overall score of 5.5, with Reading and Writing at 5.5.
- CEFR: Level B2.
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): Score of 51.

Learning Method
Teaching and learning strategies:
The program is designed based on a self-study model with automated learning processes, following the STEP framework:
- (S) Self-Study – Independent learning through lectures and instructional videos.
- (T) Tutor – Watching tutorial videos or reading support materials to deepen understanding and learn how to develop assignments according to requirements.
- (E) Evidence – Completing required exercises to demonstrate competency.
- (P) Project – Conducting a capstone project or writing a graduation thesis.
